“From Le Cirque to The Senate”
October 04, 2011
“ELEMENTS of FIERCE!” celebrates the eye-opening genius and “King of Satirical Spin,” Robert Cenedella and with his latest masterpiece “No Taxation Without Representation” by Robert Cenedella, Oil on Canvas 2011.
The unveiling at Studio 57 was the place to be as we filled 57th Street to witness this most exciting day for Robert and all of his friends and fans who also want to make our world a better place with our work. “ELEMENTS of FIERCE!” celebrates you all.
The large mural-like painting, measuring 6 x 7 feet, contains close to 100 mini-portraits of luminaries in the congressional, political and media universe. As the viewer’s eyes wander the canvas, the likenesses of Boehner, Pelosi, Gingrich, Kerry, Palin, Kennedy, Reid, Romney, Kucinich and several Supreme Court Justices can be seen.
As we got our rulers autographed by Robert himself and enjoyed cocktails and treats we were able to connect with friends old and new.
Wonderful connections were made on this sunny and glorious day. I even bumped into LeRone Wilson Sculptor/Painter http://www.LeRoneWilson.com/ whose work can be seen in Red Rooster up in Harlem and host of the 2012 Obama DNC Fundraiser Dinner http://redroosterharlem.com/artists/.
The first two works of art sold for the opening were;
“All American Bar”, Oil on Canvas
“Broome St. Bar” Oil on Canvas
Carol & Dan, loyal clients of Robert Cenendella, were thrilled to be able to attend this major event and add to their R.C. Collection.
There were even visitors from Norway who loved Robert’s work and became New Collectors taking his work back to Norway the next day!
It was really quite impressive to have all of Robert’s work in one space. With his work he truly addresses a multitude of issue with a sense of humor that makes it all digestible.
“I am truly honored to be a model and friend to a man who is truly on a mission to hold use all accountable for the actions we take from day-to-day while having a party doing it!”
Speaking of parties, here are some highlights from Robert Cenendella’s last opening at The Art Students League of New York (photos by Anita Jack http://www.artforyouonline.com) where we celebrated the fine artistry of his students. I was totally honored to be one of the models for his class.
